Small Update!

  • Mood: Tired
  • Music: "Wicked As It Seems" - Keith Richards

Added pictures from Bon Jovi's second night at Giants Stadium last summer (07/19/2006). See them here.

Tried to add some pics from other shows from last year but Angelfire crapped out on me. Hopefully I'll be able to get them up soon.

(Overhaul? What overhaul???   )

Upgrade

  • Mood: Overwhelmed
  • Music: Live To Win - Paul Stanley
I've had a lot of personal crises this year and the Metal And Madness site has fallen low in my priorities. I apologize for the lack of updates. I am working on a major overhaul. I know I've been saying that for a few years now - but now it is true. I don't know when it will be finished or what the new site will be like yet - but it will come to be sooner or later. Patience is a virtue!

A message for Ryan Roxie fans...

As you probably know Roxie has left Alice Cooper's band, at least for the time being, to spend time with his family. He is married with two young children and lives in Sweden now.

I had a quick email with him today and he said he's doing well. He also asked me to say hello to everyone for him and express to everyone how much he wishes he could be in two places at once.

So please go easy on him. I'm sure it wasn't an easy decision to make to leave the band, even temporarily. But choosing family is always right. ;o)

Well...?

  • Mood: Beat
  • Music: "I Just Wanna Be Your Everything" Andy Gibb

Good god have I been slacking on this site! No worries - metalandmadness.com is still active! It's just a little lazy lately. In reference to the last post, we never did go to the Brides show or the Twisted show. We did, however, see Bon Jovi. We seriously took about 140 pictures. This was back in December and I still don't have them fixed yet. Consider them coming soon, though!

I recently got a new computer (finally!) and will hopefully be doing a complete rehaul on this site sometime this year. So if things seem a little slow just know that's what I might be doing.

So, hang in there and TTFN!

Possible Upcoming Shows:
Naked Beggars
Bang Tango / Stephen Pearcy

An update! FINALLY!

  • Mood: Happy
  • Music: "You Got Me Rocking" - Rolling Stones

It was a very busy summer! Finally, I've had time to do an update!

Alice Cooper Aftershow Pics from my birthday, August 30, 2005. Katrina kicked our a$ses at this outdoor show!

Rolling Stones at Pepsi Arena, Albany NY - September 17, 2005 ! This was the third and final show of our own personal Rolling Stones tour. And it was the best show I've seen yet! Check out the great pictures my boyfriend took from our front-row-on-the-side vantage point - the equivalent of three floor rows back from the stage!

Upcoming Shows:
Brides of Destruction (?)
Twisted Sister
Bon Jovi (god-willing!)

New update!

  • Mood: Happy!
  • Music: Vicious Circle - L.A. Guns
Last month a friend and I went to the American Metal Blast tour stop in Albany, NY. To see photos of Metal Church (only 1 pic), Stephen Pearcy's band, L.A. Guns, and WASP click here:

AMERICAN METAL BLAST TOUR PHOTOS

There are just some bands and albums that I believe never got enough recognition. So I started a page to give them some props I think they deserve. It's a work-in-progress, but check it out here:

BANDS THAT DESERVED BETTER

The Twisted Sister show metioned in my last post was postponed until November. Here is the updated list of my upcoming shows:

Rolling Stones - August 2005
Alice Cooper / Cheap Trick - August 2005
Motley Crue - August 2005
Rolling Stones - September 2005
Rolling Stones - September 2005 (yes, again - NOT a typo!)
Twisted Sister - November 2005

I have a busy few months and a MUCH needed vacation ahead of me. Should be more updates over the next few months when I get a chance to catch my breath!

Updates Only

  • Music: Ain't Coming Home - Silvertide

Just dropping a note to say that from here on out this journal will now be used ONLY to post updates to my website, Metal And Madness. I am just not comfortable posting anything very personal with a link back to the site that has pictures and even more info about me.

I do have a new web journal about myy everyday life. If you're a friend of mine and want access to it, you already know how to e-mail me, so just e-mail me and ask for the link and I'll give it to you.

As for the site, yeah, it's been slow lately. I do have Rick Springfield pictures to post (and you can definitely file that under MADNESS!). Don't know when I'll get to that. I'm also kicking around the idea of doing some CD reviews of lesser-known CDs by already-famous artists (such as solo discs) that I want to help promote. If I ever get some free time I may start on that.

I wanted to go see Butch Walker this week, but it doesn't look like it will happen as Brian has to work late that night.

Just got back from

  • Mood: Depressed, annoyed
  • Music: "Love Somebody" Rick Springfield

the Rick Springfield show.

Oh.

My.

God.

He has the most annoying fans in the universe.

To put it in Sludge terms, they are worse than Slaughter fans.   Not everyone, of course (like us for example, ha!). But a seemingly overwhelming majority.  In the interest of not being offensive, I will not elaborate more than that. He did his best to put on a good show. But the fans killed it. They suck. Oh my lord, do they suck. I wanted to do this to most of them:

LOLOL.

Pictures will be posted soon. We got some great ones. Don't worry, there aren't 41 of them this time. Ha. And no review. I just...can't.

Duran Duran Photos...

  • Mood: Still reeling!
  • Music: "A View To A Kill" - Duran Duran

...from both the Turning Stone Casino (3/30/2005) and Wilkes-Barre, PA (4/9/2005) shows have been posted along with the set lists. There are just too many things I want to say about both shows, and not enough time to write it out. The first show was good, but the second has leftme utterly speechless. The set list was amazing, John Taylor (*sigh*) was awesome, and they were completely worth waiting 22 years to see. If a picture is worth a thousand words, then there are 41,000 words for you to interpret on these pages. Enjoy!
